Indigo Hour: A Jazz Set with Rob Tribbett

Rob Tribbett grew up on Chicago’s South Side with music all around him. His parents toured with the gospel group The Joy Ensemble, and a childhood start on drums eventually led him to the piano. Kansas City became home, and the musician also known as Rob Tribb, Tribb III became part of its creative community.

A pianist, songwriter, and producer, Tribbett has spent years bringing artists together through performances and jam sessions. He received the Kansas City People’s Choice award for Best Musician in 2025. For this Friday’s Indigo Hour, he brings that experience to a jazz set at the Blue Room — a close-up start to your weekend.
