The Common Futures Conference: From Margins to the Centre
About this Event
The Common Futures Conference: From Margins to the Centre
Join us in person for an inspiring conference exploring how voices from the margins can shape our shared future. The Conference focuses on building practical tools for inclusion, moving past simply diagnosing the exclusion of young people from governance. Through keynotes, roundtables, graduate presentations, masterclasses, and a collaborative workshop, participants will co-produce a Youth Engagement Playbook. This will serve as a concrete, evidence-based framework for youth-policymaker collaboration in the Global South.
Instead of studying these margins from a distance, the Conference aims to redesign how policy gets made. Every session asks the same question: what will it take, in practical terms, to move young people’s knowledge, experience, and leadership from the margins to the centre of governance?
The event is designed for policymakers, academics, international development practitioners, civil society leaders, and young advocates, researchers, and community organisers from across who are interested in reshaping policy in their contexts.
