Pathways to Impact: Publishing, Policy and Practice for Early Career Researchers
About this Event

Each year the British Society of Gerontology (BSG) Emerging Researchers in Ageing association (ERA) holds a conference session ahead of the BSG annual conference. The ERA conference is a vibrant opportunity for early career researchers in gerontology to share research milestones, practice presentation skills, learn from peers, and network with others.

East Oxford Community Centre, 44 Princes St, Oxford, OX4 1DD

Check out our agenda below, this year includes workshops, guest speakers, ECR presentations, networking and a social activity (Ghost Walk) on Monday evening. The ghost walk will last 90m, starting at 18:30pm, please indicate if you will be joining us by adding a free ticket to your booking (add ons) as there are limited spaces available.

Please note we have a small number of bursaries available this year, for more information apply here: ERA Bursary Application

**Closing date for bursaries is 29th March, if you apply for a bursary please wait to be notified of the outcome before booking your ERA ticket as we cannot use the bursary to reimburse tickets already sold.**


This year's BSG conference will be held at Oxford Brookes University (Wed 24th-Fri 26th June). Please note that the 2026 ERA conference will be hosted at East Oxford Community Centre, a local venue close to Oxford Brookes University on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd June 2026. Although the conference will be held off-campus, we have reserved accommodation at Oxford Brookes in the Clive Booth Student Village.

Due to booking restrictions at the university there is a minimum 2 night stay meaning we can only offer accommodation to those staying Monday and Tuesday. Please note there are a range of hotels in Oxford if you require accommodation for only 1 night, please do reach out and we can assist as best as possible with this.

Available tickets (excluding Eventbrite fees) include:

  • Conference ticket only (£50 BSG members / £80 non BSG members)
  • Conference ticket with accommodation (£170 BSG members / £200 non BSG members).
  • An additional night stay can be added on the Sunday evening (21st June) for those travelling from further afield, limited rooms available, please ensure you add this on to your ticket (£60).
