🎭 3-Month Intensive theatre study: Feb.17th - May 17th 2025 Dive deep into the art of theatre with our comprehensive 3-month intensive workshop, designed to build the foundational skills essential for any performer. This module will take you on a transformative journey, from the fundamentals of movement and mime to the profound impact of mask work and the comedic brilliance of clowning.
Workshop Overview
This module is the bedrock upon which all succeeding studies are based. Over 13 weeks, you will explore:
- Awareness Through Movement: Learn to connect deeply with
your body and refine your physical presence on stage.
- The Play & Mime: Develop your ability to tell stories and
express emotions without words, using only your body and
imagination.
- Mask Play: Masks are vital in an actor’s development. You'll
study and perform with various masks, each teaching you the
art of essential gesture and movement, enhancing your
projection and presence on stage.
- Acrobatics: Strengthen your physicality and build the
confidence needed for dynamic performances.
Mask Work: Masks demand a heightened awareness and control of movement. They teach you to focus on essential gestures and eliminate distractions, raising your performance to a higher level.
Clown Work - The Art of Failing: Introduces you to the world of the clown. Here, you’ll discover your comic character, develop freedom of play, and learn to embrace the surprises that come during performances. By working with the naiveté of the clown, you’ll connect with your vulnerability and transform it into a powerful stage presence.
Throughout this module, you’ll have multiple opportunities to perform your clown acts, both in Denmark and abroad at festivals.
Why Join? This intensive workshop is perfect for those aspiring to work in theatre or for experienced performers looking to expand their skills. It’s an exciting, immersive experience that promises to push your creative boundaries and elevate your craft.
