Get ready for a night of movie magic! Join us on July 12-14 starting at 7:00 PM for an unforgettable experience.

This year, our event will feature compelling presentations that urge action to raise awareness about mental health, combat human trafficking, and address the pervasive influence of technology in modern society. These crucial issues demand greater attention to mobilize efforts for meaningful change.

The Cinematic Affair presents an evening of premieres, bringing together three renowned filmmakers on a single stage. Originating in 2021 as a two-day event, it has since evolved into an entire weekend extravaganza. Here, audiences and artists converge to discover fresh films, immerse themselves in the cinematic ambiance, glean insights into the entertainment industry, explore new prospects, and revel in the joy of moviegoing.

This year at The Cinematic Affair, a dynamic panel of local filmmakers will come together to address and explore various topics related to the film industry, both at the city level and in Hollywood. This engaging discussion aims to raise awareness and inspire artists by sharing valuable insights, including dos and don'ts, practical tips, and more, followed by an interactive Q&A session.

In addition, we've added something new to allow actors & creatives to be a part of the summer event. First, there was Whose Line Is It Anyway, then Wild n’ Out, and now there’s 'Act Up and Act Out'. This is an opportunity to showcase your acting skills through improving, music, monologues, or topics the judges provide.

There will be 6 teams. 2 actors per team—3 Rounds to compete for the winning title.

Photographers will also have a set up for professional headshots to be taken and purchased.

‘Mindless’ (Shacolby Shentell)

Devin Higgins, a mental health therapist finds herself compelled to provide resources to those in her community experiencing their trauma that have resorted to severe mental disorders. Her attempt to help others repair their lives introduces a fear within herself of dealing with her own buried trauma.

‘Unplugged’ (Gee Becton & Qasim Barnes)

A liberated educator on a journey to expose how social technology could have more control over society than the average eye perceives.

‘Traffick Jams’ (Andre Jones)

In the often-ignored underbelly of Houston, Texas, "Traffick Jams" unveils the harsh reality of sex trafficking through two different scenarios in the most unexpected of ways.
