The Camino de Santiago: 550-Mile Pilgrimage Across Northern Spain
Presented by Carey Kish
For 1,000 years, pilgrims from around the world have followed the Way of St. James to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. With Carey as our guide, experience this scenic and spiritual 45-day journey on foot from St.-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France over the Pyrenees, across Spain to Santiago, and then on to the Atlantic Ocean at Land’s End. From mountains and meadows to international hospitality and camaraderie to cathedrals and churches, you’ll get a delicious flavor for this amazing trek. Buen Camino!
Carey Kish of Mount Desert Island, Maine is an intrepid hiker, outdoors and travel writer, and author of “Beer Hiking New England,” “Best Day Hikes Along the Maine Coast,” and the “Maine Mountain Guide.” Carey has some 20,000 miles of long-distance walking under his belt, including the 2,200-mile Appalachian Trail, the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail, and the 2,700-mile Continental Divide Trail, the Triple Crown of American hiking. His latest book, “Footloose in the Maine Woods,” will be out later this year.
