Get Ready for THE CALL!
THE CALL is not a traditional audition. It is a community-wide artistic discovery experience designed to find performers, emerging artists, returning performers, families, and people who have always wanted another opportunity to take the stage.
The central idea is:
“Some talent was never lost. It simply stopped being called.”
Edutainment Productions is inviting Northern Virginia residents ages 8–108 to participate.
We are looking for:
- Singers
- Dancers
- Actors
- Rappers
- Spoken-word artists
- Musicians
- Movers
- Storytellers
- Multidisciplinary performers
- Specialty and “wild card” artists
Experienced performers are welcome, but people who have never auditioned before are equally encouraged to participate. Adults who performed years ago and stopped because of work, family, or life are especially encouraged to return.
What Participants Can Expect
THE CALL will feature a welcoming, energetic, theatrical environment rather than a traditional intimidating audition.
The experience may include:
- Artist check-in and registration
- Performance/discovery opportunities organized by artistic discipline
- Opportunities for singers, dancers, actors, musicians, spoken-word artists, and specialty performers
- A special Second Act experience for adults returning to performance
- Intergenerational opportunities for families and multiple generations to participate
- A multidisciplinary environment where artists can show what they do best
- Live entertainment and activities throughout the evening
- Opportunities to be considered for Edutainment Productions' future artistic projects and artist roster
