The Business of Being Green: A Café on Energy Efficiency and Affordability
About this Event
Connect with the City's Office of Sustainability, the Local Energy Alliance Program, and the Community Climate Collaborative for a climate cafe on how small businesses and households can access energy saving resources.
The summer is here and with it are added stressors that contribute to higher energy usage and higher energy costs! Gain further insight into the ways small businesses can take advantage of opportunities like the Small Business Energy Efficiency Program and how households can access home energy assessments and resources from LEAP.
Did you know commercial building energy makes up over 30% of Charlottesville's carbon footprint? Local businesses and non-profits have a key role to play in meeting our community climate goals. Happily, climate solutions like energy efficiency are also a great business opportunity, often with low-cost solutions that pay for themselves quickly through bill savings.
Come learn about how the City, C3, and LEAP supports local businesses and households in playing their part, from education to energy assessments to financial support.
