About this Event
Bus-ted: Creative Workshop on Climate & Public Transport
Struggling to catch a bus? You’re not alone. Join us for an exploratory workshop that delves into the intersection of climate change, health, and transport - through movement, imagination, venting, and creative action.
This workshop is part of Bus-ted, a satirical and thought-provoking creative project funded by In Place of War; that highlights the frustrations of navigating rural bus services in South West England, exposing the gap between climate policies and real-life accessibility. Through interactive exercises, we’ll explore our personal experiences and help shape a campaign demanding practical solutions for sustainable and functional public transport.
Your contributions will inform a short film that will be shared with local and national campaign groups, sparking conversations about what real climate justice could look like.
Whether you’re an activist, an artist, a commuter, or just someone who’s waited too long for a bus - this is your chance to be heard, get creative, and help drive change.
No prior experience necessary - just bring your ideas, energy, and maybe a story or two about your latest bus journey. We will be filming and taking short interviews during the workshop so you will be able to let us know if you are happy to be in these on the day. Any questions please email: [email protected]
Under 18's will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian please!
Accessibility: This workshop will involve some active participation, standing and moving around the space, but we can work with physical and sensory needs you come to the space with, please email [email protected] beforehand or speak to one of the facilitators when you arrive!
