About this Event
The Brotherhood Series: Film Premiere, Panel & Live Poetry
Masculinity, manhood, vulnerability, solitude & trust. The male experience has never been as it seems.
This project is a series of poems turned into short films by writers and directors Eléonore Bilambo and Judah Meade. Brotherhood dives into the actors' lives and thoughts to bring together collaborative, poetry-based films with a documentary approach.
A lover of cinematography? A poet? A writer? Deep thinker? Filmmaker? Male? Female? Brother or sister? -- This event is for you.
Come join us for an exclusive evening as we premiere our short film series: Brotherhood!
We will be screening:
- A Love Letter to My Brother - based on a poem by Anthony Bilambo
- Brotherhood - based on a poem by Israel Oketade
The Panel Discussion:
After the film screening, we'll get into the nitty-gritty of writing, directing and filming three short films in 3 days with our Q&A and Panel Discussion. Share your thoughts, ask questions, and gain insights into the making of this incredible project. To top it off, we have a special treat for you.
Live Poetry Performances:
What would a poetry-led film series be without live poetry? We've got an exciting lineup for you diving into the issues of manhood, brotherhood and vulnerability.
This is an exclusive screening of the films before they make their way into festivals. The films will not be available to watch online before they complete their festival run, so you definitely do not want to miss out!
Join us as we celebrating art, storytelling, and community.
See you there!
