The Book Club — Reading the Bible Together | Waterloo, London
About this Event
What it is
A small group of people around a table in a Waterloo pub, reading a section of the Bible and talking about what's actually in it. Not a church service. Not a lecture. No homework.
We meet every other Monday. Come to one, or come to all of them.
Who comes
Christians, sceptics, and a lot of people somewhere in between. Most of us just think it's odd to have an opinion about the most influential collection of writings in human history without having read it.
You don't need any background knowledge and you don't need to prepare. You don't have to believe a word of it, and you're welcome to disagree — people do, most weeks. You don't have to say anything at all, either. Plenty of people just listen the first time.
