Location: Tbilisi Music & Drama State @ Natia's studio (PLAZM), Entrance @ 2 Giorgi Tsabadze St, Tbilisi (same building as New Platform)What is a body dancing, what is a body on stage?
Participants will be in search of a mobility different from everyday life, investigating the body as a form or forms that reinvent themselves in a kind of transformation, of metamorphosis. From this poetic body work will emerge a presence.

The workshop connects different levels of symbolic representations – movement, words, poetry, writing, drawing - and provides time and space for sensory experiences to emerge and explores the universal themes of human culture, such as Archetypes and Myths. They live in us, in contact with our secret worlds and open us to a dimension of creation powerful and original.
We are never too old, or too limited, or too disabled to dance or express ourselves creatively.
Each four-hour workshop has a specific thread.

A gentle body awakening will be followed by guided improvisations. By offering progressive work, participants feel safe to explore their own sensibility and inner states.
At the end of the session, participants will have time to share about what has been experienced, through their emotional states.
Sunday workshop last hour, will be devoted to an open stage improvisation.
This workshop is suitable for all bodies and ages and does not require any prior artistic or physical experience.
Just wear a comfortable outfit (t-shirt, pants). Provide a notebook to take notes. Some drawing material is provided. For the last day’s performance, each participant plans a “costume” that seems to suit their dance.
Limit to 15 participants.
Butoh Dance basic principles
Butoh dance is an exploration, a journey to the interior. Every slow gesture can be seen as an imperfect gesture, not a “realized” gesture as if suspended between the visible and the invisible.
Each form becomes an event of existence, an attempt to capture the instant, the ephemeral. The dancer stands between life and death, in a space that has neither place nor time.
The visible tension reflects the internal tensions of a body connected to the universe, to heaven and earth, living its contradictions and its tumults. The body becomes a malleable material where the traces of fragility and imagination vibrate. In Butoh dance, it is enough to be there, offered in its presence to the world from which emotions will spring - anger, excuse, fear...
Previous workshop experiences
An inspiring workshop, at the Atelier Incurve in Osaka – Japan. Since 2008, at a unique place dedicated to disabled artists, suffering with mental disorders or severe physical disabilities. The Butoh: the origins
Tatsumi Hijikata and Kazuo Ohno are the founders of this cultural movement in reaction to the political and artistic situation of Japan especially after the Second World War. They advocate a quirky aesthetic that is however inspired by traditional arts such as the Nô theatre. The 1960s in Japan were also a melting pot of protest movements that fueled artistic research in theatre, music and dance.
The Butoh dance will develop in the world and more particularly in Europe and the United States in the 70’s. France hosts many events and festivals of Butoh animated by dancers such as: Atsushi Takenouchi, Yumiko Yoshida, Katsura kan, Masaki Iwana, Gyohei Zaïtsu, Maki Watanabe …
Elizabeth Damour is a butoh practitioner and performer residing in Paris.
She was trained in contemporary dance in London, and she pursued work in Brazil. Since 2000, she has develop strong links with Butoh masters.
Through her Collective BIG! she initiated The skin of the world which are inclusive events in unusual places. She regularly participates in Butoh dance festivals in Europe and Japan. Her pedagogy is enriched by her Therapy and Art-Therapy practice.

რა არის მოცეკვავე სხეული? რა არის სხეული სცენაზე?
მონაწილეები იკვლევენ მოძრაობას, რომელიც სცდება ყოველდღიურობას, ეძებენ სხეულის ფორმებს, რომლებიც გარდაქმნისა და მეტამორფოზის პროცესში ხელახლა იბადებიან. ამ პოეტური სხეულის კვლევიდან იბადება უნიკალური ფიზიკური და ემოციური არსებობა.
თითოეულ ადამიანს აქვს უნიკალური სხეული, რომელიც ატარებს განვლილ გამოცდილებებს, ემოციებს, სურვილებსა და რწმენებს.
�ვორქშოფის განმავლობაში მონაწილეები იკვლევენ გამოხატვის სხვადასხვა ფორმებს – მოძრაობას, სიტყვას, პოეზიას, წერას და ხატვას – რითაც იქმნება სივრცე სენსორული გამოცდილების გასააქტიურებლად. გავმართავთ განხილვას უნივერსალურ თემებზე, როგორიცაა არქეტიპები და მითები, რომლებიც ჩვენში ცხოვრობენ, უკავშირდებიან ჩვენს ფარულ სამყაროს და გვიხსნიან კრეატიული შემოქმედების ძლიერ და უნიკალურ განზომილებას.

ეტაპობრივი კვლევის გზით, მონაწილეები დაცულად იგრძნობენ თავს, რათა გამოიკვლიონ საკუთარი მგრძნობელობა და შინაგანი მდგომარეობა.
�სესიის ბოლოს თითოეულ მონაწილეს ექნება დრო, რომ გააზიაროს საკუთარი გამოცდილება და ემოციები.
კვირის სემინარის ბოლო საათი ღია სცენაზე იმპროვიზაციას დაეთმობა. ღია საჩვენებელი პერფორმანსი.
ვისთვის არის ეს ვორქშოფი?
ყველა ასაკისა და ტიპის სხეულისთვის.� არ მოითხოვს არავითარ წინასწარ ფიზიკური მზაობის გამოცდილებას.� უბრალოდ ჩაიცვით კომფორტული ტანსაცმელი (მაისური, შარვალი, წინდები).� თან იქონიეთ დღიური ჩანაწერებისთვის. სახატავ მასალას მოვამზადებთ.�ბოლო დღის წარმოდგენისთვის თითოეული მონაწილე თავად შეარჩევს კოსტიუმს, რომელიც საუკეთესოდ ერგება მის მოძრაობას.
