Bobby has played and recorded with a long list of people including; The Natural Four, Sugar Pie DeSanto, Richard “Dimples” Fields, John Lee Hooker, Maria Muldaur, Jimmy McCracklin, Craig Horton, Snooky Flowers, Cool Papa, Archie Lee Hooker, Zakiya Hooker, and Alabama Mike.
Bobby also had the honor of doing guitar work on the Cd’s “From Clarksdale To Heaven – Remembering John Lee Hooker“, and “John Lee Hooker, Face to Face“. The “BYP” is made up of, Bobby Young – guitar/vocals, his son Nick Young – guitar, Michael Rogers – bass, Latrosse Harris – drums, and Gig Anderson – keyboards. The band works often with the John Lee Hooker Foundation for their “Blues In The Schools” fundraisers, and in 2016, The Bobby Young Project was named “Blues Band Of The Year“, and they were nominated for the same honor in 2017, and 2018 by the Northern California Entertainment Music Awards.
