The Best Advice: A Writing Panel with the Royal Literary Fund

Three nationally acclaimed writers join us at Exeter Library for a live Royal Literary Fund panel on the theme of The Best Advice. Louisa Adjoa Parker, Rebecca Tantony and Matt Bryden will each read a short original piece written for the occasion, then join a chaired discussion about writing, identity and the moments that shaped their voices as writers.
All three panellists are based in the South West and have built national reputations through their poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Matt Bryden's pamphlets have won the Templar Pamphlet Prize and the Live Canon Pamphlet Competition, and his poetry has won a Literature Matters Award from the Royal Society of Literature. Louisa Adjoa Parker is the author of the short story collection Stay with Me and several poetry collections, and writes and speaks widely on Black history in the South West. Rebecca Tantony has published three collections with Burning Eye Books and performed at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Southbank Centre.
