The Barbel Club Sat 12 & Sun 13 October Whitney Court Estate, Whitney on Wye, Herefordshire Join us for an exclusive barbel fishing festival weekend for 25 lucky angling guests on one of the classic beats of the middle River Wye for a barbelicous fun packed whisker chasing weekend.
This tranquil and picturesque part of the wye valley which is located a few miles downstream of Hay. Holds good stocks of coarse fish, especially the barbel & chub, and is fished by the likes of Trefor West, Martin Bowler & Steve Pope to name but a few legendary anglers and is ours exclusively for the weekend. .
Tickets include 2 days fishing Saturday & Sunday or
Options of 2 nights camping Friday & Saturday night at The Pound Campsite situated on Beat 2 of the famous stretch.
Arrival
You can arrive anytime Friday afternoon or evening where you will be met and greeted by us so you can get you're camp set up for the weekend ready to fish Saturday morning and join us for a pint & a bite if you wish Friday night at the Boat Inn opposite our camp.
Fishing
Fishing is from Dawn until Dusk Saturday & Sunday day on beats 3, 4 5 & 6 of Whitney Court which is less that 2 mins by car from where we are located for the weekend, with parking available for everyone at the fishery.
Saturday is a roam around fishing day from dawn until dusk for you to fish where you wish on the designated beats and get familiar with the stretch to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Saturday Night
A Barbel Club Social for our guests @ the Boat Inn Pub with food and drink available from 7.30pm till late and a pool competition for those that fancy some light entertainment.
We will also be holding a charity raffle with the proceeds donated to the Wye & Usk Foundation in association with Gilo Bespoke Rods Saturday evening for a custom rod rebuild and other prizes.
Sunday
A Barbel Club fun fishing competition dawn until dusk with A position walk off draw to take place @ 6.45 am at the fishery with Klips Baits prizes for the most & biggest barbel.
Camping
Camping is situated at The Pound Campsite. A small designated enclosed camping area that has a modern & clean shower block with toilette facilities situated opposite the Boat Inn Pub on Beat 2 of Whitney Court.
Ticket Prices
£70 per angler inc 2 nights camping and 2 days fishing plus a 10% booking fee that covers each angler with public liability over the weekend whilst fishing.
Junior Tickets min age 10 £55 (must be accompanied by parent) plus booking 10% booking fee.
We also have an insurance "wash off policy" in place in case of severe flooding and will be able to reschedule the event in the worst case so nobody will loose out.

Breakfast
A group cooked breakfast can be provided for £12.50 per guest served via the BNB as an extra from 6am Saturday & Sunday morning. Please book a separate breakfast ticket/s with your reservation at checkout.
Bed N Breakfast

Fishing Shack
A fishing shack is also available onsite with 4 beds in one room and 5 beds in another upon request @ £25 extra per person, per bed, per night. (breakfast not included). Please contact Paul for information 07376 920311
Packed Lunch
A packed lunch can be provided for £5 per person if required Saturday & Sunday please purchase packed lunch ticket for day/s required.
