The Atlas of Imaginary Places

In this hands-on workshop for teens, participants will dive into the thrilling world of speculative fiction. Led by Story Studio instructors, young writers will brainstorm and build their own story worlds—whether sky ships, shadowy forests, or futuristic cities—using creative prompts and collaborative activities. With special guest Kenneth Oppel as our Writer in Residence, teens will also get a behind-the-scenes look at how a bestselling author creates immersive settings and unforgettable characters. Bring your imagination, and get ready to start a story only you can tell.

This hands-on workshop is aimed at youth. Because of capacity limitations, parents should prepare to drop teens off.
