Do you want to play music in a jam but your inner critic gets in the way?
Do you long to step into the jam space and feel confident AF with your expression?
The Art of the Jam is a four week immersive in-person class series facilitated by Xion Ra and Kayla Diana designed to teach you the universal language of music which is innate in every human being.
Join Kayla and Xion in this class specifically designed for those who are wanting to feel fully free and empowered in the jam space, whether you are a "musician" or not. This is a beautifully held space where you may even meet you new best friends or band mates!
We believe that MUSIC is our first language, and a birth right to all beings and want to invite you into the world of expanded expression.
Throughout the four weeks, we will teach you how to tap into your musical flow state and step into your musicality in a loving and support environment. We will be breaking down the four main elements of the Jam: mindset, skillset, connection to self, and communication with other.

The facets of music we will be focusing on in the four weeks are:

-Mindset- returning to our roots and working with the inner critic
-Vocal Embodiment- the spirit and science of singing
-Beginner- Intermediate percussion and drumming
-Tapping into Flow State training and exercises
-Harmony + circle song
-Musical improv + looper jams
-Song-writing
-Performance Embodiment + Stage Presence

About Your Facilitators:
KAYLA DIANA is a professional musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter , and facilitator of a transformational voice modality called Somatic Voice. She has facilitated retreats, countless workshops and both on and offline 1:1 mentorships and group courses. She has 16+ years of musical experience on and off the stage between live and studio performance, collaboration, including her soul-folk trio, Honeywild, and teaching. She has helped hundreds of people experience the magic of their own voices and is known for drawing the Voice out of everybody in the room.
Being born deaf in one ear and having followed the path of musicianship she developed a sort of “sixth sense” for receiving and articulating sound, and learning her own method of teaching along the way.
Her teaching philosophy comes from knowing that Music is the origin of the Universe and the most profound gift to humanity, and that it is our birthright to freely express the music inside with our communities. Combined with extensive studies of the physical , spiritual, and philosophical aspects of the human voice and music, she creates a potent learning experience for class participants.
XION RA is a professional drummer and multi-instrumentalist with over 10 years of experience. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Ayla Nereo, Honey wild, and Simrit. Known for his exceptional talent and versatility, Xion has developed himself into a sought after multi-instrumentalist, using his skills to share his knowledge as a music teacher. His dynamic stage presence and mastery of various instruments makes him an invaluable asset to anyone who would like to learn how to express themselves through the creative expression of music
Beyond his technical skills, Xion is celebrated for his ability to blend different musical genres, creating unique and captivating performances. His passion for music and dedication to his craft have earned him a reputation as a true innovator. Whether in the studio or on stage, Xion continues to inspire his students/audiences with his powerful rhythms and imaginative compositions that allow his fans and students the opportunity to express themselves in a unique and unbridled way. solidifying his place as a leading figure in the industry.
