- Practice exercises focused on emotional authenticity and connecting deeply with the words you perform
- Craft and deliver original pieces in a welcoming, supportive environment
- Reflect on how to connect with an audience and hold their attention through your performance
- Build confidence and stage presence through guided exercises and hands-on practice
- Learn from Lindi Nolte, a South African-Canadian spoken word poet, TEDx speaker, and active member of Vancouver's slam poetry community since 2014
This Workshop is for You if You:
- Want to perform your writing out loud — whether you're new to spoken word or looking to deepen your existing practice
- Crave a supportive space to experiment with vulnerability, expression, and finding your authentic voice on stage
- Have words inside you that deserve to be heard and want the tools and confidence to share them with an audience
About Lindi
Lindi Nolte is a South African-Canadian spoken word poet, storyteller, educator, and TEDx speaker based in Vancouver. She was crowned the 2018 Grand Slam Champion and is the author of Barefoot and Awestruck, a collection exploring love, nature, and self-discovery. Lindi performs live, teaches English, and facilitates creative writing and spoken word workshops that help people reconnect with their expressive, creative selves.
