The weeks leading up to the holidays can be some of the hardest for anyone carrying grief. The lights, the gatherings, the traditions all have a way of making an empty chair feel even emptier.
That's why, in honor of National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, Mount Nittany Health Palliative Medicine is partnering with the Penn State Palmer Museum of Art to offer The Art of Healing Through Expression and Creativity, a morning set aside for anyone navigating loss.
🎨 A private pop-up gallery and guided discussion
🖌️ A creative group session led by Sarah Zappe, PhD, educational psychologist and art therapist
No art experience needed. Just come as you are.
📅 Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026 | 11:00 a.m.
📍 Palmer Museum of Art, 650 Bigler Rd., University Park
Space is limited to 30 participants, so please register by Oct. 30 by scanning the QR code on the flyer or: https://mountnittany.org/events-classes/community/the-art-of-healing-through-expression-and-creativity
