The Art of Drawing
Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18, 10am – 4pm each day
Develop better drawing skills and gain more pleasure in the drawing process! Drawing is the foundation skill for all the visual arts. A lack of drawing skills often relates to a lack of understanding of spatial concepts, and with problems with artistic 'vision' – the ability to create in artwork what is in one's imagination. Learn to see and measure accurately, as well as some ways to loosen up through gestural and expressive mark-making, using the basic drawing tools of graphite, charcoal, pen, and ink. This workshop is appropriate for all skill levels. Some materials provided; see supply list for other required materials. Bring a bag lunch both days. Cost $210/student
