Join the Albert Kahn Legacy Foundation for a special evening inside one of Detroit’s most remarkable architectural landmarks—the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education, formerly the Argonaut Building.
On Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 6:00–8:30 PM, guests are invited to enjoy an evening of architecture, history, food, and conversation, with a special opportunity to visit the building’s 11th floor.
A Special Look Inside
The evening will include a guided exploration of the 11th floor, led by Jacob Jones and Davy Webb. Guests will also have the opportunity to see two fascinating original features of the building: the car freight elevator and car turntable.
Guests will have access to the building lobby and 11th floor during the event.
