8:30 AM – Check-in & Networking
9:00 AM – Noon – Program

As donor expectations rise, gift planners face the increasingly complex challenge of aligning personal goals with long-term institutional missions. This half-day intensive offers a practical roadmap for bridging that divide, beginning with the essential tax and financial principles needed to partner effectively with donors alongside their professional advisors. High-impact, non-cash vehicles (including appreciated securities, IRA QCDs, and donor advised funds) will be explored, including key mechanics, prospect identification cues, and strategies for introducing these options. The discussion will shift to specific language suggestions for broaching the planned gift discussion, ensuring a revocable commitment is structured to match a donor’s goals, and requesting estate documentation. The material will close with proactive stewardship strategies to ensure recorded commitments result in intended impact and enduring donor satisfaction.
To support immediate application, participants will receive an implementation toolkit featuring internally-facing reference sheets, externally-facing donor guides, and conversation job aids.
