WHAT IS THE MULTI-FRACTIONAL HERBAL EXTRACT PART 2: ADVANCED INTENSIVE?
By popular demand, there is now a PART TWO to the multi-frac course.
Multi-fractional Extractions Part 1 is NOT a prerequisite, but students are expected to have a basic working knowledge of beginning medicine-making concepts like percolation, maceration, decoction, and infusion methods to make herbal medicine.
This is 24 hours of intensive materials for students to have an even greater depth of training in certain specialty areas, followed by a live interaction session with instructors. These are designed for apothecarists that would like to create a product line, specializing in a certain area of herbal preparations, or to set up a home apothecary. The intensive will have advanced materials not covered in the main 12-week fundamentals internal course. The Internal Medicine is recommended before doing the Advanced Multi-Fractional Extract intensive if you don't have the basics of medicine making already. * * * *
Multi-Fractional Extracts Part 2: Learn hands-on processes for working with multiple solvents, heat, and advanced extraction of botanicals in this medicine-making course.
Students will work with salt, honey, water, glycerin, wine, butter, rice, lecithin, alcohol & vinegar extractions in various cycles. Enrolled students will receive an herbal care package of herbs, product materials, and supplies mailed to them.
During this advanced intensive, students will get hands-on training, learning to use the following herbal preparations both alone and as part of multifractional processes:
- Frying and baking preparations :
- Dry
- Salt & Brine
- Honey
- Wine and/or vinegar
- Rice
- Charring
- Steam preparations
- Liposomal preparations
- Co-decoctions as a preliminary preparation
- Medicinal ghee

COURSE INFORMATION
Dates: The first wave of course materials opens on December 2nd, 2024 for immediate download. A live interactive session will be scheduled instructor(s), date TBA. Students will have 90 days of access to the materials. Registration closes December 16th, 2024.
Location: You can participate in this course from anywhere you have an internet connection!
Shipped Materials: Students in the US will receive a box of materials to use during this course.
International Shipping: There are additional costs involved with shipping course materials outside of the US. If you are located outside of the US, so we can help you with shipping arrangements. We offer shipping within Canada and Mexico only. (APO and AE addresses are not eligible.) International students are responsible for the expense of shipping their own course materials.
