Retreat Overview
Return to the Earth and Spiritual medicine of Taos, New Mexico, with Katrina and Michael at the Historic San Geronimo Lodge that has been transformed into a beautiful Yoga Retreat Center as the HyperSlow Retreat Center. Located just 3 miles from the historic Taos plaza and nestled at the base of Taos Mountain, the retreat center has over 30 fruit trees on the property, a walking path/labyrinth, and ancient Acequia irrigation flows through the property each Spring to nourish the land with sacred waters.
The historic lodge has a beautiful yoga space with broad wood beams, an adobe finish, and a traditional fireplace. Immersed in nature, the local elders have blessed this historic lodge, which is a healing sanctuary for all. There is also a native sweat lodge on the property and a generous hot tub for soaking. It is close enough to town for lunch and dinner excursions on Saturday and Sunday but removed enough for your quiet, restorative time in nature.
Katrina and Michael have invited their Teacher and Elder, Celinda Kaelin, to join the retreat and share her wisdom and teachings about connection, community, and ceremony, as well as the wisdom of the Native Traditions of Taos.
Taos, New Mexico, a vortex of spiritual, cultural, and artistic energies, has been a home and holy place to the native peoples for many millennia. The spiritual energy of this community is said to be held by Taos Mountain, offering healing, grounding, and guidance to those who journey here.
Our retreat will be filled with gentle yoga practices, farm-to-table organic meals, an evening star talk, morning meditations by the fireside with a view of Taos Mountain, like-hearted people in community, live music and sound healing, and a talk and ceremony with our Teacher and Elder Celinda.
She will guide us on a walk along the Rio Grand rim to where the two sacred rivers meet, and we will engage in a ceremony with the elders to connect with the community, Earth, and Sky. This retreat is for you if you’re seeking a deeper, soulful connection with yourself, community, and Mother Earth.
Taos is also close to many other unique communities and hot springs, including Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa. Many attendees plan an additional personal trip to these healing waters before or after the retreat. You will also have a free afternoon and evening to explore the historic and artistic town of Taos. This is an opportunity to try one of the many award-winning restaurants, visit artesian galleries, see the ancient pueblos, admire the adobe architecture, take a historical tour or relax and soak in the healing energy of the earth, water, and sky of this vortex community.
