The Birmingham Beginner course by The Anatomy Lab introduces essential anatomical knowledge through interactive sessions tailored for newcomers. Participants can expect a hands-on learning environment emphasizing real-world applications and foundational principles across key body systems. Our beginner event is for students aged 14-16 studying GCSE level science and wanting to follow a career in medicine or healthcare.

This is the perfect extra-curricular activity for GCSE Students interested in medical and clinical careers, the human body and biology.

If you'd prefer a personal dissection experience, you can purchase an individual organ dissection kit in advance. This kit includes a personal specimen, tray, and scissors, allowing for a solo exploration. All standard ticket holders will have access to dissection tables set up for 6-8 participants to share specimens. By adding the solo kit to your ticket, your personal specimen set will be ready and waiting for you upon arrival.

Please arrive 30 mins prior to start time to drop off your child, ensure that you have completed the parent approval form which will arrive by email after checkout.

Children should wear loose clothing, have their hair tied up and be bare from the elbows down, please leave all jewellery, watches and false nails at home.
