The Americana Experiment: Outlaw Country brings the unmistakable sound and spirit of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and today's country trailblazers to Kapono's at The Lounge.
Led by HKF Next Level artist Jacob Staron, Country Kine puts its own Hawaiʻi-grown spin on the music, blending classic and modern country with reimagined local favorites, extended jams, fiery guitar and pedal steel, and plenty of spontaneous musicianship. Joining Jacob on guitar and vocals are Rand Anderson on vocals and pedal steel, Taylor Cutcomb on bass, and Michael Sommer on drums. Withe special guest singer Mari Maffioli from Hook+Line.
Kick off your weekend with great music, good company, and a little outlaw spirit. This is country music with the edges left on - raw, spirited, and made to be played live.
