2026 MAMo Wearable Art Show
About this Event
MAMo Wearable Art Show
Hilton Hawaiian Village Tapa Ballroom
Friday, September 11, 2026
7PM - 9PM
Join us for the 19th Annual MAMo Wearable Art Show, PAʻI Foundation's signature celebration of Native Hawaiian fashion, artistry, and cultural innovation. As Hawaiʻi's premier Indigenous wearable art event, MAMo showcases the extraordinary vision of Kanaka Maoli designers and artists whose creations honor ancestral knowledge while redefining contemporary fashion. Each work presented on the runway is more than a garment—it is a powerful expression of ʻike kūpuna (ancestral knowledge), moʻokūʻauhau (genealogy), ʻāina (our connection to place), and the living traditions that continue to shape Native Hawaiian identity.
From masterfully crafted kapa, lauhala, and hulu to innovative textiles, sustainable materials, and couture design, the runway comes alive with stories of resilience, creativity, and cultural excellence. Blending tradition with bold artistic expression, MAMo Wearable Art Show celebrates the evolution of Native Hawaiian design while providing a platform for established and emerging artists to share their voices with audiences from Hawaiʻi and around the world.
