There comes a moment in practice when we begin to realize:
Magic is not only something we do.
It is something we live beside.
Something we tend.
Something we return to.
For many witches, the altar becomes one of the first places where practice begins to take shape.
And yet…
Most of us were never truly taught what an altar actually is.
Not as decoration.
Not as aesthetic.
Not as performance.
But as relationship.
The Altar as a Living Threshold is a foundational workshop exploring altar work as living, energetic practice.
Together, we will move beyond Pinterest spirituality and aesthetic witchcraft into something more grounded, embodied, and deeply personal.
This is not a workshop about building the “perfect” altar.
This is a workshop about understanding sacred space.
About relationship.
About energy.
About learning how your space participates in your practice.
Together, we will explore:
* what an altar actually is
* decorative vs functional altars
* personal, devotional, elemental, ancestral, grounding, and spellwork altars
* how sacred space affects energy and awareness
* discover the *Three Living Altars framework* — the altars already carried within yourself
* basic energetic architecture and how placement shifts feeling, focus, and intention
* how to begin creating an altar that feels alive and relational
This workshop is beginner-friendly while offering deeper layers for experienced practitioners.
No previous altar experience is required.
Whether you are brand new to sacred practice or have walked this path for years, you are welcome here.
This summer at The Witch’s Hearth, we return to foundations.
Because before deeper work… we must understand how to stand.

Objects for altar exploration and hands-on practice will be available.
No altar supplies required.
Space is intentionally limited to maintain an intimate learning environment.
