About this Event
The street camera was once very common - essentially a camera and darkroom in miniature they were used to make street portraits.
In some countries they were used as the route to get official documents - for example passports .
At this event Gregg McNeill of Darkbox Images will share stories and some history and get you involved in making images in his new studio.
Voluntary donation of £5 to cover materials is welcomed.

Wolfcraig is a place for photographers who want to learn, and to share their expertise with others. Together with Stirling Photography Festival they form Stirling Photo SCIO, whose aim is to help overcome the barriers to participation and support learning, in a friendly community of interest.

Established in 2018 as a Youth Festival, Stirling Photography Festival is now in our ninth year, working with partners across Scotland to bring some of the best established and emerging artists to Stirling. Our guiding values remain firmly rooted in our founding aims to Inspire Creativity, Develop Skills and Build Community.
In 2026 we joined the Creative Scotland funded Scene Stirling Culture Collective, became members of Photography Networks Scotland and the Season of Photography, and came together with Wolfcraig Traditional Photography Studios and Darkroom to form Stirling Photo SCIO,.
