The Acoustic Spirit Chamber Music Series Inaugural Concert

The Barns of Rose Hill in Berryville VA is excited to announce the inaugural concert of a new chamber music series entitled The Acoustic Spirit. This series of concerts held throughout the year will feature classical music from the Renaissance through the music of today. The inaugural concert of this chamber music series will be held on Monday April 28th at 7 pm at the Barns of Rose Hill located at 95 Chalmers Court in Berryville Virginia.

The ASCMS will serve the residents of the Northern Shenandoah Valley in Virginia by featuring diverse and rich classical musical offerings. The series aims to build bridges between people of different cultures and help people form connections to the transformational and emotional power of music. The music series will call the Barns of Rose Hill its permanent home.

“The Shenandoah Valley is area rich in culture and history” explains ASCMS Executive Director Ani Berberian. “However we live in area where opportunities to attend cultural events could be improved upon. My dream was to create and develop something special for the area’s residents where they could connect with those offerings and have the same opportunities to attend these events as you would in a larger city.”

The inaugural concert of the Acoustic Spirit Chamber Music Series will feature trumpeter Dr. Curt Christensen former Principal Trumpeter of the U.S. Air Force Band in Washington D.C.; cellist Zach Whitaker; flutist Dr. Nayoon Choi and pianist Dr. Ina Mercheva-Blevins Adjunct Professor of Piano at George Mason University. The concert will feature works by David Maslanka Claude Debussy Carl Maria von Weber and Clare Grundman.

The concert is free and open to the public; however a free will offering to the Barns of Rose Hill is greatly appreciated!
