Thanksgiving dinner is a tradition that dates back to the 17th century, when the Pilgrims and the Native Americans shared a feast of thanksgiving.

Nearly everyone gets one or two days off school or work, and it marks the beginning of the Christmas holiday season.

Thanksgiving dinner on the day comes from Mississippi-born exec chef Slade Rushing. The set menu includes chicken liver pate crostini with onion jam and crispy shallots, as well as roasted pumpkin arancini, herb-brined turkey with sage gravy, honey and clove glazed ham, and cornbread pecan stuffing, as well as roasted acorn squash salad with blue cheese and cranberry vinaigrette. Lastly if we still have space, squeeze in some spiced pumpkin pie with ginger whipped cream.
