Level 1: Classic & Foundational Thai Bodywork (16 Hours)
(Floor Mat & Massage Table Applications)
Step into the art of restorative touch, acupressure, and energy work. Classic Thai Bodywork combines sen line energy work, rhythmic pressure, and assisted yoga stretching to balance the body and deeply unwind physical tension. Designed for versatility, this foundational training teaches techniques that can be performed on either a traditional floor mat or adapted directly onto a standard massage table. Whether you are a yoga teacher elevating your hands-on adjustments, a massage therapist protecting your hands/joints, or a healthcare worker adding restorative tools to your practice, Level 1 gives you the confidence, body mechanics, and safety principles to start offering Thai bodywork right away.
What to Expect & Training Highlights:
-Dual-Format Training: Learn how to deliver classic Thai techniques on both a traditional floor mat and a massage table.
-Techniques Covered: Fundamentals of traditional Thai healing systems, sen line energy work, thumb/palm acupressure, and assisted lower/upper body yoga postures.
-Ergonomics & Safety: Westernized safety precautions and joint-saving body mechanics to protect both practitioner longevity and client comfort.
-NCBTMB CEUs: Approved Continuing Education Hours for Licensed Massage Therapists and health professionals.
-Who It's For: Open to all! No prerequisites required. Ideal for yoga instructors, massage therapists (LMTs), nurses, Reiki practitioners, educators, and bodywork enthusiasts.
-What to Bring: Comfortable movement clothes, snacks, a notebook, and water. (Mats and floor equipment are fully provided!)
Daily Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break each day).
Schedule & Investment:
Level 1 (Foundational): October 3 & 4, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Level 2 (Expanded Sequences): October 17 & 18, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Level 3 (Advanced Flow & Special Populations): November 21 & 22, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Tuition: $450 per weekend
Early Bird Special: Save $50 when you register by September 4! (Save $200 total when registering for all 3 weekends!)
Sequence Note: Levels 1 & 2 are highly recommended to be taken together to build a complete full-body Thai treatment routine.
Take one, two, or all three weekends at your convenience! While each weekend can be taken standalone, completing the full series gives you a comprehensive, professional-grade Thai bodywork practice for floor and table setups.
About the Lead Instructor:
Sarah Cheiky (NLMT, NCTMB, CYT) is a Nationally Licensed Massage Therapist, Yoga Teacher, and NCBTMB Approved Continuing Education Provider with over two decades of experience. She completed a formal teaching apprenticeship in traditional Thai Massage with Dr. C. Pierce Salguero and has been welcomed into traditional Thai lineages—including the Traditional Old Medicine Hospital and SVG Thai Massage Training Center in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Sarah’s teaching emphasizes "Getting to the Heart of the Matter" through mindful bodywork, anatomical precision, and compassionate care.
