Thai cuisine is known for its unique balance of sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and spicy flavors—brought to life with bright herbs, earthy fish sauce, fiery peppers, and sweet coconut milk. In this hands-on class, Food Writer and Chef Instructor Shawnie Kelley will guide you through essential Thai flavor profiles, cooking techniques, and sourcing specialty ingredients right here in Columbus.
You’ll prepare three classic dishes:
- Pad Thai – fast and flavorful, with rice noodles, aromatics, and bean sprouts
- Green Curry Chicken – a smooth, mildly spicy curry served over jasmine rice
- Thai Basil Vegetable Stir-Fry – a quick, vibrant side or standalone vegetarian option
This cuisine is generally gluten-free and can be easily adapted for various dietary needs. A final menu will be shared once adjustments are made to accommodate all participants.
Important Notes:
- Dress Code: For safety, all participants must wear long pants and closed-toe, flat shoes. Sandals, flip-flops, and high heels are not permitted in any Columbus State kitchen. Long hair must be tied back.

If we do not hear from you within 48 hours of notification, a refund will be automatically issued to the original payment method.
