Join Tulsa Foundation for Architecture in partnership with The Vault for a spirited evening exploring the personalities who helped shape, promote, and preserve Route 66. While the Mother Road stretches from Chicago to Santa Monica, some of its most influential champions had deep Oklahoma ties and their impact still defines how we experience the road today.

Rhys Martin, President of the Oklahoma Route 66 Association, will spotlight the vision and advocacy of figures like Cyrus Avery, widely known as the “Father of Route 66.” We’ll explore the influence of Hugh Davis, creator of the beloved Blue Whale of Catoosa, the artistic legacy of Bob Waldmire, whose hand-drawn maps and roadside philosophy kept the spirit of 66 alive for new generations, and the advocacy efforts of Laurel Kane, whose commitment to kindness and preservation highlighted how small businesses are the bedrock of the road's story in Oklahoma.

Guests will enjoy expertly crafted cocktails inspired by the eras and personalities of Route 66 while learning how advocacy, entrepreneurship, art, and preservation all played a role in transforming a highway into an American icon. Expect engaging storytelling, rich local history, and plenty of conversation.

TICKET INFORMATION: Cost for this event is $55 per person. Price includes (4) cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. This is a 21+ event. Dinner is available to order in addition to your ticket price with table service.

Class is $55 per person. If your ticket is $110, it's for 2 guests. $220 tickets are for 4 guests, and so on.

This event will be indoors in the main dining room. The dining room opens 30 minutes before class for those wishing to arrive early. Dining on additional appetizers or desserts during class is highly encouraged! The Vault's full menu is available for you to enjoy for an additional cost. Gratuity is not included in your ticket cost, so please plan to tip your servers!

Due to Oklahoma liquor laws, you will not be physically making the drinks. Your teacher will demo them for you & share with you lots of information in addition to the historical thematic information that TFA will provide.

PARKING: The Vault has a free upper-level parking deck onsite available for event guests located off of 7th Street between Cincinnati and Boston, accessed one way heading west on 7th on the right. Additionally, ample street parking is available and is free of charge after 5:00 PM.

REFUNDS: TFA cocktail classes are non-refundable, but reservations are transferrable. Please instruct the person using your tickets to check in using the name tickets were registered under.
