🌿🚶♂️ Join us on 23rd February for a scenic walk from Teynham to the picturesque Marina village of Conyer! Along the way, we'll take in the beauty of the landscape while exploring part of the historic Saxon Shore Way. 🌊✨
📜 History Highlight: Teynham’s name dates back to Roman times, and it was an important agricultural area in medieval Kent. Conyer, once a bustling port for grain and shipbuilding, has its own maritime heritage. As we walk, we’ll trace part of the Saxon Shore Way, a trail that once served as a Roman defence line against Saxon invaders. Established in AD 276, the forts along this path played a key role in Britain's military defence. ⏳🛡️

The walk starts promptly on time. If you're running a bit behind schedule, give us a call to inform us (you'll find our number on your booking confirmation if you've booked through the website, or message Ian Henderson via MeetUp). 🚶♂️🕒
🐾 Friendly dogs are welcome! Please ensure they're leashed when needed, especially around fields with livestock.
Before hitting the trail, make sure to pack:
👟 A - Suitable footwear (preferably walking boots or sturdy shoes, no flip-flops)
🌧️ B - A waterproof coat (and waterproof trousers, if you have them) for rainy days
💧 C - Drinking water and a packed lunch
💊 D - Personal medication (Let us know confidentially about any medical conditions)
👕 E - Suitable walking attire

• If you have any COVID symptoms, please do not attend.
• We take photos during our walks for promotional and training purposes. If you prefer not to be included, just let us know on the day.
Cancellation Policy
• Cancel at least 4 days before the event to receive a credit note for a future walk, valid for 90 days.
