Some things are just worth making well. This workshop is for the person who wants beautiful, functional pottery in their home — the kind of piece that earns a permanent spot on the dining table, gets pulled out for every gathering, and genuinely gets better with every use.
In this two-hour workshop, you'll slab-build your own textured stoneware platter from start to finish. Our example is a long tray with a wavy edge and handles — elegant, tactile, and absolutely stunning on a table — but the beauty of this class is how much you can make it your own. We have an extensive collection of texture rollers and stamps, so whether you're drawn to florals, geometric patterns, organic shapes, or something else entirely, there's a tool in our studio that was made for your vision. You'll choose your tray shape, your edge style, your texture — your instructor is there to guide the process and help you pull it all together beautifully.
And here's what makes stoneware special: this isn't just a pretty piece. Stoneware is highly durable, oven safe, and built to actually be used. Paired with our gorgeous mid-fire stoneware glazes — which you'll choose and apply at your second visit, at a time of your choosing — your finished platter is going to be something you reach for again and again. Garden party spreads, patio snack boards, a stunning centerpiece with fruit or bread — this platter will show up for all of it.

Workshops are non-refundable with less than 24 hours' notice
Rescheduling? We just ask for 72 hours' notice (one reschedule per booking)
Not local? We can ship your finished piece for an additional fee
