Textured Art 101

In this class, you’ll explore a variety of texture mediums and techniques, learning how to build depth, movement, and visual interest on canvas.

Participants will experiment with different application methods and create a one-of-a-kind textured artwork on an 8x8 canvas. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a finished piece ready to take home, display, or gift—along with the confidence to continue exploring textured art on your own.

No prior experience necessary; all materials are provided.

About the teacher: 

Angela Woody is a self-taught abstract artist from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Working with acrylics, texture, and mixed media, she creates emotionally driven pieces that spark curiosity and invite viewers to explore the layers within her work.
