About this Event

Step into the world of tropical terrariums with Piedmont Moss & Magic in this relaxed, hands-on workshop led by Andrew Stuckey, host on 97.9 The Hill WCHL in Chapel Hill. Participants will create their own closed tropical terrarium while learning the fundamentals of miniature landscape design, plant care, and terrarium building. Using moss, stone, and living tropical plants, each workshop focuses on creating a tiny world that feels personal, atmospheric, and alive. No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. The workshop is intentionally small to keep the experience calm, welcoming, and interactive, making it perfect for beginners, plant lovers, creatives, or anyone looking for a thoughtful afternoon surrounded by greenery and good company. Advance registration is recommended.

About the Instructor: Andrew Stuckey is a terrarium artist living in Chapel Hill. He began building terrariums as a hobby, but quickly graduated to intricate, structured builds of lush cliffs, tropical staircases, and secret caves. This led to the founding of Piedmont Moss & Magic, providing unique, artistic terrariums for sale. Andrew previously spent 15 years as a high school and middle school English and Social Studies teacher, and currently works as an on air host and music director at 97.9 The Hill, WCHL in Chapel Hill.
