Join us in welcoming artists Kat Dorcas and Lucie Eusey as we unveil their joint exhibit "Terrain: Interpreting the Kansas Landscape".
Lucie Eusey: "As a lifelong Kansan, my art is focused on capturing the understated beauty of my home state. Working primarily with paint and color, I explore the Kansas landscape using various artistic styles and degrees of abstraction. My goal is to heighten the viewer’s appreciation of and connection to the land."
Kat Dorcas is a ceramic artist and Kansas native who lives just steps away from the Flint Hills. Always drawn to the many avenues of art, she enjoys creating — from ceramics to design. In addition to working with clay, Kat supports fellow artists through her role at Emporia First Friday Art Walk, a non-profit organization that connects artists with the community.
Join us on July 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and hear both artist talk about what inspired their work for "Terrain".
This is Event is FREE for Members, $10 Admission for Non-Members.
