Tending Disorder: An Artist Talk With Michelle Westmark Wingard
EXHIBITION DATES:
August 6th to September 12th, 2026
ARTIST TALK:
Sunday, August 30, 5:00pm - 6:30pm
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:
"Tending Disorder," features new cyanotype prints, textile, and installation works by Michelle Westmark Wingard. The exhibition explores perceived control, re-imagining the possibility of reordering broken systems and elevating care. With all of the anxiety that many of us carry around the polycrises of our time – this act of re-ordering is a way of considering care and intentionality as an act of resistance.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Michelle Westmark Wingard of Minneapolis is a multi-disciplinary photographer, combining cyanotypes printed on fabric and paper, textile works, and installation. Wingard thinks about all aspects of her work as gestures of care. She has curated several exhibitions and has also exhibited her own photographic work locally and nationally.
