Join us at the loft for Teen Sewing Fashion Project! Get ready to unleash your inner fashion designer and dive into sewing your own clothes. We're meeing in-person once a week for eight weeks. This series is designed for teens ages 12 - 17 with a class size of 4 students. Here's the schedule:

Whether you're a beginner or have some sewing experience, this event is perfect for you. Learn essential sewing techniques, explore various fabrics, and discover the joy of designing and creating your own unique garment. Our expert instructor will guide you through the process, providing hands-on demonstrations and personalized assistance.

Shannon Marshall, owner of Sonoma County Sewing Company, is the primary instructor for Teen Sewing Fashion Project. She has 25 years of professional sewing experience, sewing for many local designers, businesses, and individuals. Shannon has designed the curriculum for Teen Sewing Fashion Project to teach as an On-Campus Mentor with Magnolia Project at schools throughout Sonoma County, as well as at the loft in Sebastopol, CA.

All equipment is provided! We have sewing machines, tools, cutting tables, steam irons, and notions here for you to use. Learn how to read and use a sewing pattern, and adjust it for the perfect style and fit.

You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine in good working condition, with the power cord, foot control, all accessories, and instruction manual if available.

During this series, you'll have the opportunity to meet other enthusiastic teens who share your passion for fashion. Exchange ideas, learn from each other, and make new friends in a fun and supportive environment.

Materials List will be sent out after you have registered for class. Please read the Agenda for each class meeting, below. Plan on purchasing a sewing pattern, fabric, thread, and any buttons, zippers, etc. for your project any time BEFORE the SECOND class meeting. Your class materials will likely cost $20 - $100, depending on what you choose.
