Dive into clay in this immersive weeklong camp where teens explore both wheel throwing and hand-building techniques. Under the expert guidance of Stephanie Stuefer, MFA (Ceramics) and high school art teacher at Tallulah Falls School, students will learn safe studio practices, centering and basic throwing on the potter’s wheel, hand building techniques, surface decoration, and glazing. Projects are paced for beginners but include creative challenges for experienced makers.
No prior experience required. All materials, studio tools, instruction, and firings are provided. Students should wear clothes that can get messy and bring a snack. Small class size ensures individualized attention and a supportive, creative atmosphere.
