Teddy Bear's Picnic with Bubbles & Squeak!

Join us for a magical Teddy Bear Picnic with Sadb from Bubble & Squeak, designed especially for babies, toddlers, and young children — with plenty of fun (and food!) for grown-ups too.

This relaxed, family-friendly session combines baby-led weaning (BLW), sensory food play, and a sweet teddy bear–themed picnic. Children will explore, taste, squish, and enjoy a variety of foods before we all come together for a cosy picnic moment at the end.

Perfect for little ones who love to explore food at their own pace in a safe, welcoming environment.

This session will include:

🍼 Baby-Led Weaning Food Exploration

• A selection of BLW-style foods including fruit, vegetables, lentils, and carbohydrates such as pasta, rice, and homemade breads
• Foods displayed and prepared to encourage independent exploration and safe tasting

🧸 Teddy Bear Picnic Treats

• Teddy bear–shaped sandwiches
• Teddy bear–shaped pizza
• Teddy bear–decorated cupcakes
• Teddy bear sugar cookies
• Teddy bear–shaped fruit sticks

🫧 Guided & Free Play

• Older children will begin with aprons on and guided activities
• Babies will be set up first, with parents guided through each tray
• Recipes and explanations provided for parents to follow along
• The final 30 minutes will bring everyone together for a shared teddy bear picnic

• 10:00- 10:15 Arrival & aprons on for older children
• 10:15- 11:30 Babies begin BLW and sensory food exploration. Guided cooking/food activities for older children (recipes provided)
• 11:30 - 12:00 Everyone comes together for a teddy bear picnic 🧺🧸

• Please dress children (and adults!) in clothes you don’t mind getting messy
• Suitable for babies, toddlers, and young children
• Parents, carers, grandparents, and partners are welcome
• For food safety and hygiene reasons, we require a strict 1:1 adult-to-child ratio

• Additional siblings are very welcome
