Teddy Bear Care

Being prepared in case of emergency can make a significant difference in both serious and minor situations. That’s why Lancaster EMS makes it a priority to educate our community on various lifesaving skills. We are excited to host our very first Teddy Bear Care event during EMS Week 2026! This free event is the perfect mid-day activity for parents and children to learn the basics of first aid.

During the event, our team will offer hands-on demonstrations and information on CPR, AED use, common first aid, and more. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal to practice with. An ambulance will be on-site for families to see up close, learn about, and take photos with.

Free car seat checks will also be available, provided by one of our captains who is a Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. They will guide parents through the proper car seat installation to ensure your child is safe while riding in the car. To save your spot, please click HERE.

Kona Ice will be serving free ice to all attendees from 11AM to 1PM.

We will also be collecting new stuffed animals to place on our ambulances. These stuffies will be given to pediatric patients to provide comfort during transport. Donations must be new to ensure cleanliness.
