Tech Cleanse: Electronics + Textile Recycling Event

RECYCLE YOUR OLD ELECTRONICS + TEXTILES
Once a year, we partner with the Lower East Side Ecology Center to help Dumbo recycle its tech + textiles. Bring your working and non-working consumer electronic equipment and your clean textiles, and the LES Ecology Center will recycle them responsibly.
WEDNESDAY SEPT 23 from 10am-2pm in the Dumbo Archway Plaza.
BONUS FOR 2026! BYO textiles for free, on-site custom screenprinting. Choose from a variety of Dumbo inspired decals and add a little neighborhood flare to your fit. We'll also have free totes bags to customize, while supplies last.
WHAT'S ACCEPTED:
Working and non working electronics:
- Computers (laptops & desktops, servers, mainframes)
- Monitors (CRT and flatscreen)
- Handheld devices (smartphones, tablets, MP3 players, e-readers, etc.)
- Network devices (routers, hubs, modems, etc.)
- Peripherals (keyboards, mice, cables, cords, chargers, etc.)
- Components (hard drives, CD-ROMs, circuit boards, power supplies, etc.)
- Printers scanners, fax-machines, etc.
- TVs, VCRs, DVRs, DVD & Blu-ray Players- Digital Converter Boxes, Cable/Satellite Receivers
- Video-game consoles and accessories- Cell phones, pagers, PDAs- lead acid batteries, and lead acid batteries from UPS (uninterrupted power supplies)
WHAT'S NOT ACCEPTED: Media ( i.e. VHS, CDs, DVDs) household electronics (i.e. coffee maker, vacuum) and batteries (other than lead acid batteries) are NOT accepted.

- Household textiles (towels, curtains, bedding)
