Teapot Workshop with Sara | Intermediate Wheel

In this four week skill-building unit, students will focus on designing and constructing functional teapots. They will explore the complexities of multi-part forms, including throwing and altering the body, creating well-fitted lids, and designing balanced spouts and comfortable, structurally sound handles. Emphasis will be placed on proportion, craftsmanship, and function as students work to create cohesive, thoughtfully designed teapots that pour cleanly and reflect strong technical skill.
Students must have experience on the wheel to take this course and must be able to throw comfortably with 2lbs of clay.
