Message from Natalie:
"I love working with young people. When I was a high school teacher, I facilitated independent study internships and service learning projects. The process of matching the unique skills and interests of each of my students to the needs in their communities was my favorite part of my job.
If you’ve spent any time around political campaigns, you know that many of them depend on interns to do vital work like field operations, fundraising, and running events. These internships are sought after by young people interested in politics and government because of the valuable experience and networking opportunities they provide.
The problem? These internships are unpaid. That means plenty of young people will never benefit from what these positions have to offer because they can’t afford to work for free. Perhaps they are working to pay for school or to help out their families. Or perhaps they simply believe in the democratic principle of paying a fair wage.
That’s why I’m excited to announce the Natalie Price for State Senate 2026 Fellowship Program. This program will recruit, train, and empower high school and college-aged students who are interested in public service, politics, and organizing. They will play meaningful, impactful roles on this people-powered campaign centered on community engagement, real conversations with voters, and leadership development. Fellows will work 4-8 hours per week and receive a monthly stipend equivalent to $15 per hour.
By giving students direct, hands-on experience running a campaign, we will be preparing them to contribute in meaningful ways to future community organizing and political work. Students will also be able to tap into and grow their networks, building out democratic coalitions in their communities.
But to make this program work, I need your help. If you agree that opportunity shouldn’t only be open to young people who can work for free, help support this program by contributing here, today!"
