Join Oakland County Parks for The Great Marshmallow Drop, our signature annual spring event! Watch as a helicopter drops 15,000 marshmallows into the park and kids scurry to grab one so they can turn it in for a prize bag! (pro tip: just one marshmallow is needed for a prize, and since they land on the ground they shouldn't be eaten -- ick!)This FREE event begins at 10 a.m. for children ages 12 and under. A drop for individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities begins at 11 a.m. There's no registration necessary. American Sign Language interpretation will be on site, as well as The Quiet Zone, Oakland County Parks' mobile space for sensory regulation.
This popular event is Presented by University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, Trinity Health Oakland Hospital and Zeal Credit Union, with support from ITC Holdings Corp. and Royal Oak Parks and Recreation.
