Join Chris Mitchell for a weekend of learning how to teach meditation. We will discuss and practice teaching a variety of meditation techniques to use both during Yoga classes and during any stand-alone opportunities to share a guided meditation.
In this training, we will learn about:
- the benefits of a consistent meditation practice
- teaching from your own personal practice
- the use of voice, setting, and sound
- mantra meditations
- breath meditation and the use of pranayama during meditation
- body scan and sensation use during meditation
- Metta (Loving Kindness) Meditation
We will practice combining elements of different techniques to support any given yoga class or other setting you may be called upon to share a guided meditation.
Included in this training is an outline for my 5-week meditation, 101 series. We will also use the last 1-2 hours of this weekend together for each participant to lead a 5-8 minute guided meditation.
***Yoga Teachers receive 12 CE hours***

Christina Mitchell, MS, RN, CNM, RYT500. Chris is trained in Prenatal yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Healthy Aging, and Meditation instruction. She considers herself a life-long learner and loves studying the spiritual aspects of Yoga philosophy. It is her belief that Yoga is for EveryBODY and that its benefits are accessible to all.
