Tea Talks at Morley Field

As we approach the Winter Solstice, join us in honoring the transition into winter—a season that invites us to slow down, turn inward, and find resilience in times of change. This gathering is a space to connect with the transformative energy of the Full Moon in Gemini and to prepare ourselves for winter’s unique challenges and gifts.

We’ll begin with a soothing Tea Meditation led by Carmen Elida from Mother Tongue Wisdom. This meditation is a time to ground ourselves and embrace the warmth and comfort of tea as we reflect on what we’re ready to release and what we hope to welcome during winter. The experience will be accompanied by the healing sounds of a sound bowl, helping us find harmony and peace within.

Afterward, we’ll move into a compassionate Plática, a heart-to-heart conversation, held by Nicole of Sacred Womb & Botanicals. In this supportive circle, we’ll share our stories, insights, and intentions, creating a space to acknowledge any difficult transitions or challenges we’re facing. Together, we’ll honor both the hardships and the resilience that winter calls forth within us, leaning on community and shared wisdom as we prepare for the season ahead.

We are suggesting a $20 donation for this event. Donation can be made the day of the event in the form of cash, Venmo or Zelle. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

Event Itinerary:

• Opening Circle: We’ll start by gathering in a circle, setting our intentions, and grounding ourselves to enter this reflective space.
• Tea Meditation (led by Carmen Elida): With a warm cup of tea in hand, you’ll be guided through a mindful meditation, accompanied by the gentle tones of a sound bowl. As you sip, you’ll connect with your inner stillness, allowing the tea to offer warmth and grounding as you prepare to move into winter’s slower rhythms.
• Plática (led by Nicole): After the meditation, we’ll transition into a Plática—a heartfelt space for sharing and listening. Here, you’ll have the chance to speak openly about personal challenges, seasonal transitions, and the resilience needed to move through difficult times. This shared reflection will support us in embracing winter’s lessons of endurance and self-compassion.
• Closing Circle: We’ll close the gathering by sharing final reflections, gratitude, and intentions to carry forward into the Winter Solstice, honoring both the light and the shadows of the season.
